Amy Dadson’s pathway into collision repair didn’t begin on the tools. It began in healthcare.

A qualified nurse before entering the automotive industry, Amy brought with her a process-driven mindset, attention to detail and an ability to stay calm under pressure. As a remote estimator for Motorserve, those traits now underpin her work.

She manages the full assessment and cost-planning process for vehicle repairs - reviewing damage images, preparing repair quotations, sourcing cost-effective parts and aligning schedules with operational capacity. Once vehicles are stripped, she assesses supplementary items and ensures all additions are necessary and properly documented.

She also reviews OEM repair methods to ensure structural and safety standards are met before submitting final documentation for insurer authority.

Amy entered the industry without prior panel experience and has built her knowledge through hands-on collaboration and one-on-one mentoring from experienced colleagues. She actively seeks feedback and takes ownership of her learning.

Since taking over estimating responsibilities for one of Motorserve’s busiest sites, improvements have been seen in car count, parts profitability and customer satisfaction. She works closely with site managers and production teams to align planner schedules with workshop realities.

Her background in nursing shows in her structured approach. Processes are followed. Documentation is thorough. Communication is clear.
