Vantage Automotive showed off its impressive training facilities at its Sydney HQ recently with an Open Day for the industry, education providers and careers advisors.

Vanatage Automotive has specialised in OEM mechanical training for Subaru, Volvo, Volkwagen and Jaguar/Land Rover. The company is now branching out into training for the collision sphere and was showing its panel beating training workshop which Paint & Panel's own Neil Powell (who judges for the awards) has been advising them on.

The Body Repair Apprenticeships Program will take a more industry aligned approach than traditional TAFE training says Vantage Automotive's Gary Davenport. The body repair section has three welding stations and spacious bays and a theory training room.A number of industry alliances will help to deliver a high level of training for a Certificate III in Auto Body Repair.

There to support the venture with stands display products were BASF Coatings, Snap-On Tools, 3M, Axalta and Wurth.

Vantage Automotive was responsible for training one of this year's Women in Collision winners, Kelsey McWilliam

from Audi Centre Brisbane QLD who recently graduated and was the 2017 Audi apprentice of the year.
