We would like to get a few more owners and managers taking part in our skills shortage or no skills shortage survey so we're resorting the bribery now. Three lucky survey respondents will be drawn at random and will receive the sumptous new book Supercars: The Holden vs Ford era 1993-2020. Just take two minutes to tell us what team members you are short of or if you aren't short of any.

According to the Government there is no lack of technicians in our insdutry and therefore no need to import any from overseas - do you agree?
Richard Dudley of the Motor Trades Association of Australia has been campaigning in the senate to have a number of automotive professions, including spray painting and panel beating added onto the Government’s list of this allowed to come to Australia on 457 Visas (or the new 482 skill visa). No luck so far.
Apparently the Government’s ‘scientific’ way of estimating skills shortages is by situation vacant adverts - and yet we know many collision repair businesses don’t advertise on Seek.
Paint & Panel would like to give Dudley some ammunition to fire at the politicians so please fill out our short skills shortage survey.
We haven’t asked for your contact details in the survey - just details that verify you as a collision repairer and it will be just the results data that will be submitted to the politicians.
