We had a dismal response to this survey which might suggest that people who are fully staffed weren't motivated to take part as they felt the title didn't apply to them. Thank you to the 24 businesses who did respond and while they are small in number they were a representative mix of shops from MSOs to small, large and rural repairers from around the country.
What was interesting was that a number of business owners who took part and had technician shortages were not interested in recruiting overseas. Whether that is because of time, cost and complexity involved or because they think we should 'grow our own' or source locally - well my bad I didn't ask.
