This survey is the second national industry census to provide essential data to to assist our industry and we can benchmark against the 2023 census. The data is held exclusively by Paint & Panel magazine and will not be shared with any third party or used for any purpose other than for this survey. Only the editor will have access to individual responses. The overall results will be published and will be available for everyone in order to highlight issues in the industry such as the ageing workforce. It should be filled out by the owner or manager of a business only. We have removed some of the 2023 questions to make the survey faster to fill out.
This 10 minute survey is anonymous and we ask the business owner or manager only to fill it out. The only questions that might take a moment's thought are the ones where we ask you to tell us the age brackets of your technicians. We know that, especially in the panel shop, we have a seriously aging workforce and proof of this will assist in lobbying government to act to ensure there are enough people to repair accident damaged cars. Australians rely on their cars more than most other developed nations to conduct their lives and livelihoods. Over 650 businesses responded to the survey last time - we'll be looking for similar numbers for this census.

Not for large MSOs
This survey is for businesses that have up to 15 locations. We will be creating a second survey for the larger groups so that the information in this survey will reflect the typical majority of the industry.

As these businesses are owned by the operator please complete the survey as an individual without referring to the rest of the group. Please ask everyone you know who owns a collision repair business to take part.
