Paint & Panel is hearing of an increasing amount of repairers refusing to work for certain insurers around the country. A large MSO in South Australia has point blank refused to work for a major insurer at the rates offered. A number of repairers in Mildura are also boycotting some insurers.
In Victoria a group of repairers have begun meeting to discuss and collate the problems they are facing. Over 30 Victorian repairers met recently and there is another meeting due to take place this Wednesday at Precise Smash Repairs, Keilor Park at 7.30pm - all repair shop owners are welcome. The idea is to log all of the issues and present them to VACC and the insurers with a view to those issues being addressed.
