PPG has announced that it will once again present the PPG Choice Award at the annual Acland Street Father’s Day Car & Bike Show.
The Acland Street Father’s Day Car & Bike Show will be revving up celebrations again this year, with street machines, bikes, live music and fun for the whole family. Plus, the coveted PPG Choice Award will be up for grabs.
Now in its 12th year, the free annual Father’s Day event in Melbourne’s vibrant bayside has become a family favourite.
Taking place on Sunday September 7 from 10am-6pm, show promoter Elvis Barbieri from Showcars Melbourne/Prestige Events says it’s shaping up to be their largest event ever.
“This event has become one of the biggest Father’s Day events in Victoria with record-breaking crowds over the past two years,” he said.
“While the huge display of more than 900 cars and bikes remains the star attraction, our brand new Big Boys Toy area, featuring cool machines like race cars, drag cars, and dirt buggies, is set to be one of our most popular displays.
“Entertainment will be spread across Acland Street Village, Shakespeare Grove, O’Donnell Gardens, Palais Theatre, and the Luna Park forecourt. So, there’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy, including carnival rides, face painting, live bands, and local Acland Street Village traders.”
You’ll also find 30-plus exhibitors offering everything from car parts and accessories to fun gifts for dad.
“We’re proud to have PPG’s continued support for this event, and once again, the hotly contested PPG Choice Award will be presented to the best show car as chosen by our judges,” Barbieri added.
