Standox has revealed its new 2017 wall calendar, featuring the contrast of classic cars against their current counterparts.

The concept behind the calendar is to show the shift in generations, highlighting the many modern changes in the automotive industry, such as bodywork and technology.

Developments in technology and the defining spirit of each era are apparent in the changing shape of the bodywork. In many cases, the classic and current model really only share the same name, but sometimes the family resemblance is unmistakable, such as with the Porsche 911 - current models are noticeably larger than their predecessors.

Created by photographer Ramon Wink of Bad Ems, the cars are placed in 'typical' German locations such as Bavarian beer gardens, a sausage stand and a snowy Christmas.

Other shots feature more subtle allusions, such as German Shepherds or clusters of road signs from the countries motorways.

The calendar is available to Standox customers.
