Queensland has joined a partnership with TradeMutt – the popular workwear brand known for its bold designs that promote mental health awareness within the blue-collar community. Together they have launched a work shirt featuring eye-catching tyre patterns and the ‘Don't Shut the Bonnet on It’ slogan. This shirt is designed to spark conversations and raise awareness for mental health organisation TIACS, which offers free mental health counselling to workers.
“We are announcing our metal health strategy that we are trying to deploy, not only across Queensland, but we are certainly hoping to get national traction on this,” MTAQ’s Rod Camm said.
“We have partnered with a fantastic organisation called TradeMutt. TradeMutt provide mental health support and services to anyone who contacts them. They are renowned for designing really load shirts, with the idea being for the shirts to start conversations.”
MTAQ has collaborated with TradeMutt to develop an automotive themed shirt which Camm is hoping will get automotive workshops involved in ‘Funky Shirt Fridays’ in an attempt to get coversations around mental health started.
The shirts can be ordered from the online shop on the MTAQ website.
