Thanks to those who have filled out our Paint & Panel industry survey so far - we haven't quite reached 100 in the first week but the results are very interesting.
A significant majority of shop owners/managers would accept a decent offer for their business. Now with the benefit of hindsight we should have asked if they would set up shop again, leave the industry, or go into manage another shop but this does indicate a level of discontent. Do you agree with this - if not then take less than 10 minutes to complete the survey?
The biggest threat to repairers by a tiny margin so far is unsustainable profit margin which just pips insurer relationships and skills shortages across the worry line.
In the feelings about the industry statement part of the survey, sadly, 74% agreed with the statement 'I used to love the industry but it is getting too hard to make a profit.' Do you disagree - then get clicking here.
A staggering 69% of respondents don't have an exit strategy which might also account for the high numbers who would sell if presented with a decent offer.
