IAG has acknowledged the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) recent release of a Statement of Issues regarding the proposed strategic alliance with The Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia (RAC) to provide general insurance products and services for RAC members and Western Australians.
The Statement of Issues represents the ACCC's preliminary views in relation to the strategic alliance and it is not a final decision. The ACCC will consult on the matters raised in the Statement of Issues.
The ACCC has indicated it expects to announce its final decision on November 27. IAG has been working collaboratively with the ACCC in relation to its review and will continue to engage with the regulator in relation to the matters raised in the Statement of Issues.
