Compass has released its ‘Phase 2’ enhancement within the iBodyshop portal that marks an important step forward in repair and rental car process innovation.

The new function, available in the header bar of the iBodyshop portal, offers a much more efficient way for smash repairers to refer customers requiring a rental vehicle with Compass.

When partners create an ‘estimate’ in iBodyshop and their customer needs a vehicle, a single click sends all necessary information to Compass to organise the vehicle. A Compass Reference Number is generated and populated within the iBodyshop portal. Reference Numbers can be added manually, and data can be re-exported when updated – maintaining flexibility without sacrificing simplicity. All this information is then also visible within the Compass Pitstop portal for ease of tracking.

The only setup required is turning on the functionality within iBodyshop settings. No complex integration, just smart simplicity.

“This feature represents a meaningful improvement to everyday operations,” CEO at Compass, James Frape, said.

“We’re reducing admin time and making collaboration with our repair partners more seamless, so they can focus on delivering exceptional results for customers and help reduce the inconvenience.”

The new functionality is now live and ready for all Compass-connected partners using iBodyshop. This follows on from last year’s release whereby repairers are able to update repair start and end dates. Coupled with iBodyshop’s telematics tracking devices this ensures invoices provided to insurers are more accurate and there is a clear information flow on when customers are returning vehicles.

“We are delighted to work with Compass in delivering efficiencies wherever we can as it’s one of the key drivers behind iBodyshop’s evolution – our joint customers will be delighted with the simplicity of this new functionality,” iBodyshop managing director, Steve O’Brien, said.
