I-CAR has a substatial presence at this year's Collision Repair Expo in Melbourne next month and they've brought in some big guns from the US, Canada and New Zealand to boost the troops. The group will also be holding its AGM on Thursday, 6th April, at the Expo and members are urged to come, not only to vote in new board members, but to meet the international I-CAR stalwarts who have travelled to Australia for the Expo and the many homegrown members from across the industry. Today is the last day you can register for the AGM.

 

I-CAR is involved in five of the eight free seminar programs on offer. As well as these official seminars I-CAR will be facilitating two additional closed seminars. Here's a peek at what's on offer. 

I-CAR’s president and CEO, John Van Alstyne, will deliver a seminar on the impact of technology in the collision industry.   Time: 1.00pm – 1.45pm, Friday 7 April

I-CAR Course on Understanding Learning Culture
Time: 11.00am – 12.00pm, Friday 7 April
Speaker: Geoff Mitchell I-CAR
Preview: Geoff Mitchell will focus on the benefits this provides production management staff, as well as how to increase shop efficiency and KPI’s.

Discover Key Collision Repair Emerging Technologies – OEM ‘panel’

Time: 2.15pm – 3.15pm, Friday 7 April
Speaker: Robert Renwick I-CAR New Zealand , Ben Kirby BMW, Christinne Quix Ford Australia, Darren Thomas Toyota Australia, Andrew Minns Subaru, and Tom Bakas Suzuki.
Preview: Panellists from some of the largest global companies will discuss and field questions on vehicle technology and its effect on the collision repair industry.

Toyota Defines its Collision Repair Standards

Time: 11.00am – 11.45am, Saturday 8 April
Speaker: Darren Thomas Toyota Australia and Jason Trewin I-CAR.
Preview: Toyota will present an overview on its repair standards, how to access repair information and navigation of their repair site, plus the construction culture of Toyota vehicles.
