Upon taking the reins, the trio made a strategic commitment to reach I-CAR Gold Class, demonstrating their dedication to quality, safety, and continuous professional development.
“As a BMW Bodyshop, our training needed to align with our manufacturer partnerships – including BMW and Spies Hecker,” owner of Perre Bros Smash Repairs, Michael Perre, said.
“Achieving Gold Class status was a key goal for us to reinforce our position as industry leaders and uphold the highest repair standards.”
The team utilised training from I-CAR Industry Training Alliance partners BMW and Axalta, with a combination of online and practical delivery methods allowing their technicians to learn flexibly around the demands of a high-performing workshop. This approach ensured staff remained productive while progressing toward accreditation.
“The flexibility of the I-CAR training delivery was crucial,” Perre said.
“Online courses allowed our team to complete modules during quieter moments, and the feedback from our technicians has been overwhelmingly positive. Many are now motivated to pursue individual Platinum recognition.”
While balancing training with daily operations presented time management challenges, the team credits I-CAR’s structured support and the enthusiasm of their technicians for helping them stay on track.
Perre Bros Smash Repairs is now focused on maintaining its Gold Class accreditation through ongoing renewal training, recognising that keeping pace with vehicle technology is essential in today’s rapidly evolving collision repair landscape.
