I-CAR and Glendale TAFE, Hunter Institute, NSW have signed the Education Resource agreement to deliver select I-CAR courses to meet the requirements for AUR32112 and AUR32412 training packages for apprentices.
Brian Johnson, Head Teacher - Vehicle Trades & Protective Coatings said, “The staff and apprentices plus their employers connected to Glendale TAFE, Hunter Institute, NSW, welcome the opportunity to partner with I-CAR Australia to deliver a first class set of resources to complement and enhance the current TAFE resources available for AUR 12 and now AUR 15, the National Qualification for this industry, in both autobody repair technology and automotive refinish technology.”
“I-CAR now provides Certificate III resources to eight RTOs nationally, as well as providing professional development for all teachers involved, and these institutes are being recognised as the leaders in collision repair apprentice training in Australia," said I-CAR CEO Mark Czvitkovis.
“This collaboration of both I-CAR and their industry partners in producing these resources to assist in raising standard of training for apprentices in Australia, in particularly the vehicle trades and protective coatings section of the Hunter Institute NSW, has to be commended and we thank I-CAR for the opportunity to future proof the training of apprentices in our region” said Johnson.
The agreement will see the newly qualified technicians receive not only their Certificate III qualifications, but also I-CAR Platinum accreditation on completion. This will give each successful technician the currency required within the new collision repair standards nationally.
