I had a great time in Brisbane on Thursday and Friday. I recorded a podcast at ADAS Solutions Australia all about their exciting and game changing new products - we'll release that next week. I caught up with Fix Auto at their very fancy HQ and had a tour of the shop there which is huge and includes a Novus shop as well.
I took a deep dive into the world of Tesla at their store and had a tour of the vast new APG parts depot - I needed to get my steps in after all that driving. I also did an interview at MTAQ with me on the other side of the camera and microphone which was a wee bit strange to have answer instead of ask. And, of course, no visit to Brisbane is complete without a beer with Russ Hill who always brings along some new folk for me to meet.
The main reason for my trip was to attend the AutoWomen dinner which was excellent. The speaker Romy Mayer is a senior race car engineer and it was fascinating to hear about her journey. It was nice to catch up with some of the Queensland collision ladies and meet some new people in other areas of automotive. Thank you for the invite Kellie Dewar and AutoWomen.
