August was an exciting month for Extreme Dents from Ravenhall, Melbourne as the company launched its first mobile repair pod in a local car dealership and was named a finalist in two categories of the prestigious Victorian Premier’s Sustainability Awards for developing a mobile vehicle damage repair centre that filters emissions.
The business has been selected as a finalist in the Environmental Protection, and Small and Medium Enterprises categories.
The IQpod uses a five-stage filtration to ensure that all Volatile Organic Compounds, or VOCs, as well as odours, particulates, waste and energy consumptions are captured ensuring zero emissions.
CEO of Sustainability Victoria, Stan Krpan, describes the project as ‘exceptional’.
“Extreme Dents demonstrated to the judges that they have translated the principles of sustainability into practice to achieve outstanding results for our environment and the state of our future.”
“Victoria is an amazing place to live and Extreme Dents is helping to keep it that way, we congratulate them as a finalist,” he said.
The Premier’s Sustainability Awards are the highest profile program of their kind in Victoria. This year’s finalists have been selected in ten categories. Winners will be announced at the Premier’s Sustainability Awards gala dinner at The Forum in Melbourne on Thursday 11 October.
