Compass Claims hosted its annual Charity Golf Day at Bonnie Doon Golf Club in Sydney on Monday 26 October 2015 to raise funds for the Day of Difference Foundation.

This was a new venue for the annual event, now in its third year. The day was attended by over 130 players from the automotive and insurance industries along with a few sporting legends. The day kicked off with a welcome from Compass Claims' Director, James Frape before a sausage sizzle lunch and putting warm up at the club house.

The teams soon took their carts for 18 holes of golf with games abd competitions, beer tasting and food sampling along the way. The day was briefly interrupted with a sudden storm that saw teams return to the club house for a much needed beverage before hitting the course for the final few holes.
After relocating into the dining room for dinner, MC erry Kennedy, hosted a hilarious and engaging Q & A with special guests Brad Fittler, Mark Gasnier, Guy Leech, Paul Gow and of course the Compass Brand Ambassador Michael Slater.
With sporting memorabilia, magnums of champagne, a harbour cruise and a stint in the Channel 9 commentary box amongst some of the items on offer in the silent and live auctions, everyone dug deep to raise over $40,000 for the Day of Difference Foundation.
The Day of Difference foundation aims to reduce the number of children’s critical injuries and the impact they have on children and their families in Australia.

“I am delighted that with the golf day now into its third year we managed to raise some wonderful money for such a worthy cause. The rain interruption added some quality to some people’s play and took it away from others but to see the day sell out and us have to turn people away only suggests that the day is gaining momentum. With some wonderful support from our business partners in the automotive sector we are now hosting a charitable day where everyone has a wonderful day. After our success this year we are only going to go from strength to strength over the years to come,” said James Frape, Managing Director Compass Claims
