Audi Australia has appointed Cian O'Brien to the role of managing director, replacing Andrew Doyle in March 2017.

Doyle will remain with the company taking up an executive position in its UK arm of the business.

O'Brien has been in the role of Audi UK director of sales for the past two years and has worked within the Volkswagen Group.

Speaking about his successor, Doyle believes O'Brien presents strong credentials to lead the Audi Australia team.

“I’m sad to be leaving such a strong team and retail network in Australia after what feels like a very brief four years at the helm, however I‘m confident that Cian O’Brien will step quickly into the role of managing director and will continue to drive our vision of sustained growth in Australia for the Audi brand, supported by a year of benchmark new product launches like the Audi Q2 and Q5 models.

“I’m also extremely excited to take on another new challenge within our great brand, leading Audi’s fourth largest world market – the United Kingdom.

“It’s a really fantastic opportunity for me.”

During his tenure at Audi Australia, Doyle was involved in increasing the company's retail network to 40 sites nationally.
