AMA Group has recently appointed two non-executive board members Ray Smith Roberts and David Goldstein.

Roberts was with AMA Group for 10 years from 2009-2019 as CEO of ACAD (Automotive Component and Accessories Divisions) and an executive director of the board. AMA sold most of the ACAD businesses to GUD Holdings in November 2020 and Fluidrive in September 2022 retaining ACM Parts.

The release states: Ray’s experience in the Australian automotive industry spans 37 years and includes previous involvement with AMA Group in leadership roles running both the accessories panel businesses as well as executive director

He also has significant advocacy and policy influence within the sector, and is currently the Managing Director of Creative Conversions, a second stage vehicle manufacturer.

The other appointment has become a hot topic of industry discussion, David Goldstein is from US repair behemoth Caliber Collision which has 1,836 locations in 41 States and Territories.

"David brings a best in class experience gained from a 30-year career in front line to C-suite roles (executive level) at Caliber, one of the world’s most successful collision repair businesses. During this time, David has been instrumental in optimising business processes, driving growth and elevating the customer experience through strategic planning, innovative problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

His executive roles have included leadership of people, operations and new business at Caliber," the release states.
