Parts supplier ACM Parts is continuing to bolster its support of government-owned TAFE facility the Chisholm Institute, donating a car to raise funds for student scholarships.
Budding repairers at Chisholm will restore a Toyota Corolla before it goes under the hammer for auction.
ACM Parts CEO believes the initiative will provide the opportunity to harness fresh talent in the automotive repair sector.
“ACM Parts has a responsibility as one of the largest car parts suppliers in Australia to make sure the automotive industry has a steady supply of leaders in mechanical and collision repair.
“Education and hands-on experience are the crux of any career and we are thrilled to be able to support the future of Chisholm’s automotive students with scholarships funded through this donation.”
Chisholm Institute executive director Andrew Kong is pleased to strengthen its partnership with the company.
“Chisholm prides itself on giving its students relevant, hands-on automotive training and a big part of delivering this education is connecting with the best in the industry.
“Not only will our students have the opportunity to further enhance their automotive mechanical repair skills through the project, they will also be contributing to the raising of scholarship funds to support disadvantaged students looking to establish a career in the automotive mechanical and paint and panel industries.”

The restored car will go to auction later this year.
