The Australian Collision Industry Alliance (ACIA) has once again stepped out to educate the public about exciting careers in the collision repair industry. ACIA has attended 14 events in a little over a year ranging from car shows, industry events and careers expos. The recent careers expos in Townsville and WA were the most successful to date in collecting contact details for young people interested in becoming technicians. ACIA then contacts repairers in the area to see if they are looking for apprentices or are willing to offer work experience.
ACIA also held an online workshop which results in the formation of two new working groups - finance and membership and activities and events. Everyone involved in ACIA's working groups is a volunteer and each group meets once a month and agrees on tasks to be carried out to further promote the industry.
ACIA’s Mission
ACIA, is dedicated to engaging with the community, promoting the Collision Repair Industry, and educating students, parents, school leaders, and career advisors about the wealth of opportunities available. It's goal is to guide aspiring individuals toward successful and rewarding careers in the industry.
As a member of ACIA participation is encouraged - but optional and the organisation is looking to support its members to reach out in the community to find new talent.
