Less than two weeks to go until LIVE - there's still time to buy your tickets for this great industry event, expand your knowledge, catch up with your peers and have some fun at Randwick Racecourse, Sydney on Friday August 5.

Apparently a Balloon Debate is not common in Australia so maybe Paint & Panel will start a new trend. Imagine that a hot air balloon is plumetting towards the ground with four people on board. Two must go over the side in order for the others to land safely. We'll be having four speakers on each topic, two for the motion and two against, each speaking for two minutes and you the audience will vote for who is saved and who is tossed overboard. Motions will be on issues such as 'there is no shortage of skilled tradespeople, they just don't want to work in this industry' and 'customers want their insurer to tell them where to have their car repaired when they have an accident'. The idea is to have a bit of fun while examanining topical issues in the body repair arena.

We've also invited David Guest of VACC to the stage to update us about the changes in the Code of Conduct and especially in the lodgement of IDR for code contraventions. He'll be joining Gavin Smith from Bosch, David McCarthy from Mercedes-Benz, Jeff Schmitt from TAT, the uplifting Amanda Gore, Richard Dudley from MTAA and digital marketing expert Gary Nissim from Indago as well as our panelists and balloon debating team.

The Paint & Panel team looks to meeting you there - it's well worth taking a day out for the shop to inspire yourself and your team for the rest of the year and beyond.
