This year's L!VE is all about making the right connections for business success. We're hosting L!VE and the 2018 Paint & Panel Bodyshop awards on the same day, 12 October at the Arts Centre in Melbourne to offer the ultimate industry networking experience.

One of the major issues in this industry is recruiting talent. Our keynote speaker Trudy MacDonald is the managing director of TalentCode HR. As well as being a multi-award winning speaker she is passionate about helping small to medium businesses to thrive by giving practical advice on how to assemble and motivate their dream teams.

While we're on the topic of recruitment, we all know that attracting the next generation into the industry is a global issue. Mario Dimovski CEO of Tradiebot and his team will be filling us in on future technologies for the collision industry. This includes virtual training and automated processes such as robotic arms that can sand panels.

There are so many repairers who have made the right connections to help their businesses fly. Aaron Scagliotta from Gino's Panel and Paint and Anthony Arnold from Damage Control Accident Repair Centre are two smart owners who will be talking to Steve Lozenkovski from Bears Group about what has worked in their business and what hasn't.

We'll be launching our annual bodyshop survey in the next week and presenting the results on stage at L!VE. Ben Fewtrell from Max my Profit will be analysing these results and identifying the business opportunities for repairers.

The last segment of L!VE will be dedicated to topic of increasing OEM involvement in the repair process, why this is inevitable and how repairers need to position themselves to benefit. There will be sessions from Holden's Damian Cahill and Audi's Gareth Wright and a panel which will include I-CAR's Mark Czvitkovits and prestige repairer Jeff Williams from Specific Prestige.

Conferences aren't just about keeping up with the industry, they are about catching up with the industry - successful business owners network .
