A month before Fleuriueu Crash Repairs won the award for 'Best Country Repairer', 2015, the shop celebrated 30 years in the business.

When owner Brenton Abbott found out that the shop had emerged as a winner, he says “it felt like a pat on the back for our commitment to the business over 30 years.”

Fleuriueu is part of the Car Craft group and following on from the award, Abbott believes the achievement garnered support from fellow smash repairers in South Australia.

“The staff were thrilled that we won the award and obviously I thanked them for their support as well. Here in South Australia at that time I was getting a lot of congratulations from other members.”

If you think your shop or workplace has what it takes to win 'Best Country Repairer', nominations for the 2016 Paint and Panel Awards are now open.

As the judges travel cross country to visit smash repair shops all over Australia, it's near impossible to travel to regional areas to scope out talent – that's why we ask all country repairer nominees to submit a video up to 10 minutes long that showcases your shop and key staff members.

The video should present the ins and outs of your repair shop, including customer reception area, offices, estimating area, parts storage and workshop – as well as demonstrating workflow where possible.

It's as simple as shooting the footage on your smartphone, tablet or camcorder, uploading the footage to YouTube and sending us the link.

Take a look at Fleuriueu Crash Repair's winning entry from last year:

You are a regional repairer if your shop is not located within 80km of:

  • Newcastle-Maitland
  • Canberra-Queanbeyan
