Nominations the 2017 Paint & Panel Bodyshop awards close in less than a month. As well as the best shop awards we have a number of other categories you can be nominated (or self nominate) for.

One of these is operational excellence, sponsored by the Car Craft Group. Do you reckon your business runs like clockwork thanks to great proceedures and a strong team culture? Do have great relationships with suppliers and work providers and are your organisational and management skills are off the charts? Then nominate today.

Last year's winner was young Scott Stephens from Monza Smash, who is featured in the current magazine in his second shop Smach Tec. Stephens is a convert to workshop management system 1Q1 with huge screens all around his business giving real-time workflow information. Overall his approach to organising an inner city workshop with a less than ideal layout and his innovate approach to common workshop problems snagged him the 2016 title.

Are you a recent winner?
If your shop has won in any category previously you will not be considered for a minimum of two years for an award in the same category. You can, however, enter a different category. For instance if you won a new shop award last year, this year your shop could be nominated for a size-category. Or you won best medium shop in your state last year you could still nominate or be nominated for Operational Excellence or for the Axalta Sustainability Award or Community Hero.

The 2017 awards Platinum sponsors are Compass Claims and Axalta.
