I write this as I sit being pushed gradually off my seat by the large shouldered man beside me on the crawling bus on my most days-daily 90-minute odyssey to work. Sadly I will probably be pushing my zimmer frame in a retirement home when anything like this comes to Australia - but it does look lovely in the video. In this depiction of the project, developed by Airbus and Italdesign, they seem to magically only have a couple of flying cars in the London skies because for some reason whey they develop these projects to help with traffic, they don't depict any.

As with the original 2017 Pop.Up project, the Pop.Up Next represents a vision of the potential offered by future technologies, the new concept of transportation and the new solutions for resolving the problems linked to city planning and traffic in large urban centers.

In the 2018 evolution, the different elements – the modular pod, the vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) air vehicle and the ground vehicle chassis – have been updated: they now have the Audi logo, and have been restyled accordingly, adopting the brand’s design language.

Pop.Up combines the flexibility of a small two seater ground vehicle with the freedom and speed of a  (VTOL) air vehicle, bridging the automotive and aerospace domains.
