IRT Hyperion ideal for those small jobs

With an ever-increasing supply of smaller repairs in the repair industry due to smaller accidents and the clean up of vehicles prior to sale, there is a lot more demand for infrared paint curing units to facilitate faster paint curing on small areas.

The new Hyperion range of IRT paint curing units are aimed at repairers looking at small jobs being processed through preparation bays in particular, according to Sydney Automotive Paint and Equipment’s Andy Miller.

The smallest unit from IRT is the Model Prepcure One, which is a hand-held unit which can also be fitted to a stand.

This unit is ideal for spot repairs, curing smaller areas of filler or heating panels to remove decals and badges.

The top of range Hyperion 4-2 PC auto mobile infrared is ideal for bonnets and doors for the faster cure of primers, fillers and top coats and clears. This unit is recognised as a world leader for its quality and performance.

Using short wave technology, this unit is programmable and has heat and distance sensors fitted to take the guess work out of settings.

Suspended rail systems in preparation bays are becoming more popular for facilitating the complete repair on small jobs rather than holding them for the baking oven.

The IRT suspended rail system uses the 4-2 PC auto drying cassettes and can be supplied with multiple drying units especially in larger preparation areas.

There are many installations of the IRT suspended rail systems working very successfully in the Australian market including some leading car makers, according to Miller.

With the infrared heads suspended off the floor the preparation bays are uncluttered and easy to work in.
