Like something out of the Star wars movies that were partially shot in the city, the new Mazda Taiki concept car will make its debut at the October 9-19 Sydney Motor Show.
The Taiki is fourth in the award-winning Nagare series of Mazda concepts that has wowed motoring audiences around the world.
What it would be like to repair is another matter.
The display of the Taiki will be the first to any southern hemisphere destination.
According to Mazda Australia MD Doug Dickson the car is Mazda’s commitment to making sure that sports cars of tomorrow are not only "visually provocative, they will be exhilarating to drive and environmentally friendly as well”.
The ground-breaking design was instrumental in Mazda winning the coveted French Grand Prix Du Design award from the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile, arguably one of the world’s most prestigious auto-design awards.
The new sports car has a front engine with rear wheel drive layout that features enhanced aerodynamic performance and is powered by the next generation rotary engine.
