3M gets SMART

Even before SMART repairs became the 'in' thing, 3M was at the cutting edge with innovative products that help shops improve processes, the company says.

3M's mineral technology is used in the construction of its abrasives, enabling them to cut faster and last longer. It also introduced PPS, which minimises paint wastage, and it has now introduced spray guns utilising a disposable nozzle.

3M subsidiaries in Europe have been proactive in developing processes which fit in with the SMART model of operation. Drawing from this experience, 3M Australia is able to leverage from these global learnings and is able to offer systems that the company says are not only world-class and at the forefront of the latest technologies, but also provide a cost-effective and time-saving solution to panel shops looking to move into SMART repairs.
