Advance spray gun technology from Anest Iwata

Anest Iwata has released a new spray gun which the company says takes spraying modern day waterborne basecoats and HS clearcoats to another level.

The all new Supernova WS-400 gravity spraygun has been  hailed as major advance in gravity gun design.

The Pinninfarina design house in Italy has worked closely with Anest Iwata on the Supernova project to produce a gun that combines elegance with the ultimate in spraygun design.

The S in WS stands for superior, and this new design is at an unsurpassed level of gravity gun design.

The Supernova WS-400 creates a long, flat pattern with the paint delivered in a precise, even manner which allows for extremely even overlap.  This is essential for a mottle free basecoat application and a flat even lay down of clearcoats.

This is further enhanced by the Supernovas’ consistant droplet size during the atomisation process which further reduces the possibility of common issues such as solvent boil and pin holing on HS clearcoats due to centre heavy fan patterns.

The weight and balance of the Supernova’s ergonomic design also ensures a comfortable, strain free working day in the modern paint shop.

The gun’s all new handle design helps to distribute the weight and balance through the wrist, again to assist in the reduction of repetitive strain injuries.  The angle of the paint cup has been revised to further place the weight and balance back over the operators wrist.

A range of other innovative design features include deeper and thicker threads on the aircap, a new aircap ring, a fast on-off paint cup lid and there are no removable baffles at the front of the gun.  All these factors ensure that maintenance is easier, faster and less spare parts are required for the life of the gun.

Precise adjustment of the air, fan and fluid controls is achieved even when the professional painter is wearing latex gloves as all adjusters have now deeper thicker slots.
