Rupes extends Skorpio sander range to 12mm

Rupes released the Skorpio range of 3, 6 and 9mm orbit palm sanders in early 2010, which the company says proved to be a big success in the Australian market. The range is set to be extended in the 2011 with the introduction of a 12mm orbit offering.

The new 12mm orbit size is an aggressive tool designed to remove material quickly in order to optimise workers’ time. As with the other sanders in the Rupes Skorpio range, the 12mm is designed with the user in mind.

The patented switch lever is ergonomically constructed to support the users’ wrist, the body design is easy to grip and the multi stage noise suppressor makes it one of the quietist sanders on the market. The rotor spindle is supported by double bearings to increase stability and working life of the tool and it’s backed up by a 1+2 manufacturer’s warranty.

The Skorpio range provides the complete sanding solution. The 9mm and new 12mm are idea for stock removal, with the 6 and 3mm perfect for finishing applications. Each sander is easily identifiable with the orbit size printed on the trigger and they all come fitted with the same multihole 150mm pad.

The new 12mm Rupes Skorpio sander will be available for sale in Australia in early 2011.
