We still need a at least 25 more responses to have enough data to publish results. Most of those who responded repair between 70-150 cars per month, so it would be good to hear from some smaller shops and a few huge ones too. We're gathering that no one know the exact costs of their wash bay consumables per month at they are all in at very round figures. To the shop who washes over 150 cars a month but only uses $100 of consumables can we share the address of your supplier, or maybe this shop genuinely uses spit and no polish!
The survey just asks you for monthly consumables, wages and water and electricity costs and is anonymous. At the moment the cheapest cost per car is $24.82 from a shop which repairs 1020 per year, while the top cots is $75.52 from a shop which repairs 960 cars per year.
