iGen the new wave from VQS

Business systems developers VQS is set to launch its next generation workshop estimating system – VQS iGen.

The developers say this new version is intelligent, with logic built into the system.

According to VQS technical director Devan Antonito, iGen is more than just a quoting system, it is a complete package that can be developed to suit individual autobody repair shops.

He said greater flexibility had been built into the new system. Users could choose which modules they wanted to use, and can even replace modules without affecting the other modules and overall efficiency of the system.

One of the key features of the system is its independence from any particular data base.
This means customers do not have to worry about which data software they use, be it the higher end like Oracle or a lower end data software.

“The system is scalable for different shops,” he said. This includes the ability to run the software at multiple locations for operators with more than one shop.

The design is also user friendly and followed industry standards with a “Vista” look to the on-screen forms.

“This means people don’t have to learn new ways to use this tool,” Antonito said.

iGen’s functionality offers autobody repairers end to end quoting and fulfilment, from towing to arriving at the shop, assessment, body repair management systems to job competition.

Other features of the system include an in-built bookkeeping package compatible  with either MYOB or Quickbooks.

iGen is accessible through the internet when a bodyshop owner is away from the workshop.

According to VQS chief executive officer, Jude Antonito, iGen offers a snapshot of a body repair shop.

“As a development company, we want to provide a solution that is user friendly,” he said.
iGen will be launched to the public on 28 November.
