NATIONAL FRANCHISE DIRECTOR for Color Tech, Aaron Wagner says low overheads, free of the burden of rent, electricity bills and other fixed costs, means franchise holders can still operate well in a downturn.
"Being a mobile van-based business, Color Tech franchisees can go out into the field and makes sales calls direct to their customers rather than waiting for the phone to ring or customers to walk through the door," he said.
Wagner adds that tougher economic conditions have led to consumers changing their spending habits. "Rather than buying a new car consumers have started buying used cars again and this has led to an increase in demand for Color Tech's services from car dealerships, as used cars always have chips and scratches that require re-conditioning.
"Consumers have also delayed updating their vehicle and opted to improve the appearance of their existing car instead."
Wagner reports that there has been a 24 per cent increase in retail enquiries for the past six months. "As people have begun to worry about their job security, they are delaying any big ticket purchases, this has led to a marked increase in the amount of private sector work our team performs."
Wagner says it is appealing to use the Color Tech service because of time and economy benefits. "As a result, Color Tech are launching a new website that will show a wide range of before and after repair photos with an enhanced search engine to make sure consumers on the web find the homepage and get a clear understanding of the services offered," he added.
