Standox is backing the results of a new survey by the UK’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE) which reveals some paint sprayers are still putting their long-term health at risk.
Jodie Henly, Standox brand marketing specialist, said the company felt very strongly that everyone in the industry needed to take all reasonable steps to preserve health.
“We have made available a suite of tools to help bodyshops achieve this," Henly said.
The Standox health and safety tools include a special DVD, a downloadable Standothek safety brochure and a dedicated poster.
"Safety, health and the environment are essential to everything we do at Standox," she said. "In particular, our SHE mission security training DVD demonstrates safe practice in the bodyshop situations that operatives face every day."
In addition to the video, the Standothek brochure, 'Helpful Tips for your Health and Safety', and an allied poster give instant reference to help safer working.
To help busy bodyshops the Standothek brochure is available for instant download from www.standox.co.uk/health along with a trailer of the "Mission Security" DVD.
As well as these materials Standox includes full health and safety advice in all training courses held at the Standox Training Centre in Stevenage as well as giving advice through its local field force.
"Standox supports all efforts to increase health awareness in the industry," Henly said.
DuPont Performance Coatings marketing services manager Steven Jakopovic said Australian customers had access to the same material.
