BRINGING FLEXIBILITY TO the bodyshop floor, the new Cleantex CT26 or CT 36 (the
capacity is higher on the 36) from Festool is a powerful and lightweight extractor that runs on castors and can complete just about dust extraction task.
Bodyshops will find the extractor an extremely useful tool. It is fitted with a locking brake and has a low centre of gravity for stability on any surface. The bag fits seemlessly into the smooth walls of the extractor's container.
The new Cleantex also has a modular plug-in system for quick and simple customising from an additional power socket to an integrated compressed air-port. One of the highlights of the Cleantex is a newly developed dust container and self-clean fliter bags.
Both models feature an in-built space efficient flat filter and a high powered turbine that drives the extractor sucking large amount of dust into a bag which sits against the smooth walls of the container.
Judging by demonstrations of the capacity of the Cleantex, this bag holds considerably more dust and the self-clean effect means the filter bag does not clog, keeping the suction power more constant until the bag is full. The bags clean themselves by collapsing inwards when the motor is switched off.
Overall up to four times as much fine dust can be extracted using one bag, reducing bag usage. The bags are also of non woven tear resistant material.
