Ben Chesterfield starts his new role as business development manager at Car Craft Queensland on Monday 2 February. He leaves his four year long role as divisional executive of MTA Queensland.

"I loved my job at MTAQ," Chesterfield said, "however, this is an opportunity to work exclusively with the panel industry which is what I live and breathe."

Chesterfield if a former panel shop owner and insurance assessor. He believes that groups are the future of the industry: "I wouldn't be surprised if within three to four years 80 percent of the national workload is carried out by five consolidators. Car Craft needs to be one of those five."

Former Queensland Car Craft business development manager Dean Taylor will be still be very much involved with Car Craft Queensland. The organisation feels that the role to develop membership demands more personnel.

Car Craft Queensland has 13 members while the more established Car Craft WA has 33 members.
