Bench Test - Testing the Walcom EGO HVLP Spray gun
Walcom manufacture quality spray guns and the new EGO HVLP is another addition to its range.
Alan Higginbotham of Mt Druitt TAFE in western Sydney tested the new gun.
I HAVE TESTED Walcom spray guns in the past and I was impressed by the high quality of this equipment. When you examine the Walcom guns you can see the precision manufacturing that has been achieved on all the moving parts and that they are also very easy to clean and maintain. The new touch-up gun is easy to use and it has a spray pattern to suit
all touch-up applications.
I used the touch-up gun on small car panels and some flat steel sheets to check the variety of spray patterns that could be achieved and I was impressed by the Walcom as it was very versatile and a pleasure to use.
Walcom spray guns are not well known in NSW but this is a spray gun that should be examined if you are in need of new equipment.
Most spray painters tend to stick with the gun that has been reliable for them which is understandable.
As I test a considerable amount of equipment and products I always find there is continuous improvement in them. It is always wise to check out new equipment as this is the only way you can keep up to date with technology and work efficiently.
When you use a touch-up spray gun correct viscosity of the paint is very important. Walcom supply a data sheet with viscosity and air pressures and other data that may be required. This sheet is a guide, and most experienced spray
painters are competent to set this gun up in a short time to meet their applications. Walcom package this spray gun in a plastic case and also supplied is a small tool kit. Walcom spray guns are manufactured in Italy.
