May - June 2000 Products: Glasurit releases warranty clearcoat

BASF Coatings has released a new Glasurit premium clear coat for the warranty-covered prestige vehicle repair market .
Glasurit HS-UV-Clear 923-109 has won technical approvals from prestige car manufacturers around the world.

BMW Europe specifically requested this top quality clearcoat because of the sun's damaging effects on paintwork in climates such as Australia with high UV exposure.

The new Glasurit clearcoat 923-109 is also warranty approved for repairs on prestige cars such as Lexus, Jaguar, Mercedes and Porsche.

It offers exceptional long lasting protection developed through BASF Coatings research and development and close collaboration with leading car manufacturers.

The premium quality Glasurit clear produces an extremely hard surface which offers increased resistance to atmospheric fall-out and aggressive airborne chemicals.

BASF Coatings AG worked together with BMW Europe to develop this new clear for the refinishing and repair of their cars.

According to Glasurit technical manager Jamie Panter, BMW Europe is extremely stringent about testing and accepting warranty approved refinishing products.

Panter said that Glasurit 923-109 is used extensively throughout Europe by BMW and a number of other manufacturers.
923-109 offers exceptional flow characteristics, leaving surfaces with a glass-like appearance. The clear is used in conjunction with Glasurit's clear-over-base system, 55 Line.
