Two more Gold Coast shops have joined the Car Craft group, Southern Autos in Griffith and Sommerville Smash Repairs.
Southern Autos was established in 1987 by Ross McPhillips & Steve Mason. They started up in Tweed Heads South where they outgrew their original premises and built their own in 1999.
In 2009, a larger building was erected behind the original shop as the business had grown.
A large truck spray booth/oven was installed in 2011 to attract larger commercial work. Now Southern Autos has diversified into the motor home and caravan repair market.
McPhillips said: “We have never been ones to sit and wait for work to come to us, we take pride in the appearance of our building and workshop.
“After meeting with Carcraft directors, and reading their brochures along with their code of ethics we felt that the reputation of Southern Autos could only be enhanced by belonging to a group like this.
“It has given us a renewed interest in our business that has been lacking for some time.
“We are now looking forward to the future with a group of like-minded professional business owners who will be able to help with the issues that our industry is facing,” he said.
