H. Harvey Prestige, QLD, the only authorised Mercedes-Benz repairer on the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads, has recently installed Mercedes-approved Standox waterborne Standoblue.
Axalta's Standox range meets OEM requirements and includes flake analysing colour spectrophotometer. It improves speed, throughput and colour accuracy, while also saving materials and ensuring fast returns to clients, say Axalta.
“Axalta’s Standox product range best fills the technical criteria demanded by Mercedes Benz; that being adherence to OEM specifications on coatings in the repair market,” said HHarvey Prestige director Mark Wells.
“Standoblue is the latest in water technology, so we effectively replaced solvent-based products for greater environmental advantage and a finish quality that better meets the OEM finish.”
Wells runs two separate sites in Queensland and says that this is the first opportunity to standardise and measure performance criteria across both sites by using one product and its associated technologies.
“Axalta i-services program is a great online management tool for me, allowing the company to benchmark both sites against one another and to look at K.P.I data to measure our performance against targets set," he said.
"Management software on their colour retrieval program allows me to run reports looking at consumption, mixing accuracy and mix reports for each painter across all three sites.
“For example, on identical jobs, the software may identify how at one site we used 200ml to coat a bumper bar whereas 250ml was used at another branch, so we would ask ‘why?’ and make the changes accordingly for business improvement."
