Standox has comprehensively revised its colour search software, with the launch of Standowin iQ. This new-generation software is now web-based. The most important benefit for bodyshops is that the colour database is updated automatically every time the software is connected to the Internet. That will not only help to give Standowin iQ users increased confidence, as they will have almost immediate access to the latest products and formulas, but also makes manual DVD updates unnecessary, saving time and hassle.
In addition, the upgraded software behind Standowin iQ offers added data security. Users can back up their data online – an invaluable advantage in case of computer failure, as data can easily be restored. All information is also stored locally on the PC so it can be retrieved even when there is no Internet connection.
Standowin iQ can also be used offline. Bodyshops that do not want to search for formulas online can use the new Standowin iQ in different ways. For example, the programme stores the five last colours that were called up. The new software also helps to simplify the management of internal networks to such a degree that nearly no in-depth IT skills are required. Another benefit is that its wide selection of different performance modules can easily be customised to suit the individual needs of each bodyshop.
But it is when connected to the Internet that Standowin iQ really makes the most of its capabilities. The software can be run on PCs, smartphones or tablets. And no matter where it is used from, Standowin iQ can send formulas directly to the scales or to fully-automated dosing systems. Customised and bodyshop-specific formulas can be retrieved from different PCs via Standowin iQ, even if they are not networked.
