Sheen Panel Service has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of respected collision repair industry veteran Jason Trewin to the newly created role of general manager, strategic partnerships and technical compliance. The appointment reinforces the company's focus on manufacturer-approved repairs, technical excellence and developing the industry's future workforce.
Trewin brings almost 40 years of experience across the collision repair sector, having worked as a repair technician, body shop owner, business leader, technical trainer and industry representative. His extensive background also includes board and committee roles that have helped shape industry standards and skills development.
In his new position, Trewin will focus on strengthening relationships with vehicle manufacturers and industry partners, advancing technical compliance and supporting the next generation of collision repair professionals.
His career began on the workshop floor before progressing into business ownership in Australia and overseas. Throughout that journey, he said one principle has remained constant.
"One thing has never changed through all of it: my belief that every vehicle should be repaired properly and safely, exactly the way it was built to be," Trewin said.
He said the opportunity at Sheen appealed because it combined his passion for building strong industry relationships with his commitment to ensuring vehicles are repaired to the correct standards.
Looking ahead, Trewin believes the rapid growth of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and other vehicle technologies will continue to reshape the collision repair industry, making adherence to manufacturer repair procedures and ongoing training more important than ever.
He also hopes to strengthen collaboration between manufacturers, repairers and industry organisations while helping develop the next generation of skilled technicians.
"The moment you stop learning is the moment you fall behind," he said.
Sheen managing director Adam Stone said Trewin's appointment reflected the company's commitment to investing in both people and repair quality.
"We're thrilled to have Jason on board and can't wait to see the impact he'll have across our business and the wider collision repair industry," Stone said.
"His experience and passion for doing things the right way will be a valuable addition to our team.
"Together, we'll continue building strong industry relationships, embracing new technology, and delivering the safe, high-quality repairs our customers trust us to provide."
Trewin's appointment became effective on 29 June and adds another highly experienced industry leader to Sheen's executive team as the business continues to focus on repair quality, technical compliance and maintaining the highest standards for modern vehicle repairs.
