The winners are in for September's Norton Prep It! apprentice competition, first place winner is Harry Le Lievre from Krueger Transport Equipment, Victoria.
Harry is a third year vehicle body builder attending Kangan Institute, employed by Krueger Transport Equipment. The work piece he submitted was a Hilux 150 millimetre chassis extension using a variety of processes to prepare and complete the weld areas.
Harry won a $200 Coles Group gift card.
The runner up winners for September, each receiving a $50 Coles Group gift card are: Amber Jones, 3rd year spray painter attending MTA SA, employed by Cole Motors Crash Repairs; Dean Hutchinson, 4th year spray painter attending Kangan Institute VIC, employed by Barker Trailers.
Entries are now open for the October competition, with only a few months left to enter the 2021 competition. The final grand prize winners at the end of the year receive $2,000 for first, $500 for second and $250 for third; each prize rewarded in Coles Group gift cards.
The Prep It! apprentice competition is designed to showcase the skill and knowledge apprentices learn throughout their training using sanding and panel preparation techniques from bare metal through to polishing. Entrants can use any Norton product to prepare a panel for their chance to win. All monthly entries go in the grand prize draw.
