Accident replacement vehicle provider Compass is celebrating 25 years in business while continuing to invest in an expanding fleet of electric vehicles.

The company began after founder James Frape saw a friend struggle to obtain a replacement vehicle following an accident. From that initial gap in the market, Compass has grown into a national provider working closely with repairers and insurers to help keep customers mobile.

“It’s wonderful to sit back and think about all that we have achieved in the last 25 years,” Frape said.

“The technology and the cars have certainly changed over the years, but we know the one thing our partners crave more than anything, and we are delighted to be still providing that. And that’s reducing the inconvenience after an accident.”

Compass said the accident replacement vehicle sector had grown considerably since the company was established, with many more businesses now offering similar services. It believes its relationships with customers, repairers and insurers have been central to its longevity.

As it marks the milestone, Compass is also preparing for the changing needs of the automotive industry by investing in one of Australia’s growing fleets of electric replacement vehicles.

The investment is designed to support insurers and repairers as EV volumes increase, while giving customers access to an appropriate replacement vehicle while their own is being repaired.

Operating an expanding EV fleet has also allowed Compass to learn more about customer expectations, charging requirements and the practical challenges involved in keeping electric replacement vehicles available across a national network.

“With plenty more businesses doing the same thing today than when we first started, we continue to set the standards in our service, not only with our customers, but also with the insurers who we work closely with now more than ever,” Frape said.

“Thank you to all who have supported us on our journey to help us provide a truly national service to customers who need a vehicle most.”
