Noosa luxurious Hastings Street will host the return of the Noosa Concours d’Elegance on July 19. In its third year, this celebration promises to be an exquisite experience like no other, showcasing an impressive display of rare and desirable cars that will captivate the discerning eye of car enthusiasts and collectors alike.
As the sun sets over Noosa, live music and entertainment will add to the ambience of the event, enhancing the already captivating atmosphere of Hastings Street. Dining options at open-air restaurants will be the perfect way to indulge in a range of exquisite culinary delights, while taking in the sophisticated style and luxurious charm of the event.
Hastings Street will be transformed into a paradise for car enthusiasts, featuring an awe-inspiring display of the world's most extraordinary cars from across the decades.
Online auction site, Collecting Cars, will be offering a number of rare and special vehicles for auction at this year’s event.
The online auction platform which is known for the sale of classic, performance and collectible cars will be a key fixture at the third edition of this annual event.
Collecting Cars will be offering the following special collector car consignments at this year’s event:
- 1969 Holden HK Monaro GTS – this multi-award-winning ‘survivor’ muscle car is regarded as arguably the most original example in Australia. The seller reports that it is one of only 628 produced with the small-block Chevrolet V8. Indicating just 99,612 miles, it is the only ‘white on white’ example known to exist.
- 1967 Jaguar XKE fixed-head coupe – this Series 1 4.2-litre E-Type FHC finished in Opalescent Silver Grey is a highly original Australian-market example first delivered by Bryson Industries Ltd in Melbourne. It is the eightieth-to-last Series 1 example produced and indicates 68,025 miles.
- 1939 Alvis Speed 25 Tourer – one of fewer than 200 made between 1937 and 1940, this cream and blue example was first sold in Scotland and originally built to police specification and fitted with a siren. It was exported to Australia in 1965 and currently indicates 66,365 miles.
- 1965 Ford Thunderbird ‘Special Landau’ edition – showing just 42,480 miles, this 390 V8-powered variant of the famous mid-‘60s model series sports a unique paint finish, a parchment vinyl roof, ‘special landau’ exterior and interior plaques, and unique wood-effect veneer interior accents.
“This assembly of special cars reflects the diversity of rare and fascinating machinery that makes the annual Noosa Concours so special,” head of APAC at Collecting Cars, Lee Hallett, said.
Collecting Cars will also be sponsoring the event’s Drivers’ Pavilion, which has been renamed “The Collecting Cars Drivers’ Lounge”.
