Car-O-Liner Australia’s Liam Hugo is returning to Queensland as state sales manager, taking over from Bob Rees, who passed away recently.
Julie Thomas, managing director of Car-O-Liner Australia said Hugo, who worked under Bob Rees, leaves South Australia, where he was SA sales manager. A panel beater by trade, Hugo was exposed to and worked with Car-O-Liner products from the start of his apprenticeship. He left panel beating after some six years, to join the company in 2007.
Hugo is well versed with the company’s products, having been responsible for training on the company’s range of welders, the installation of benches and in running the maintenance program in the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Toowoomba and Brisbane.
Thomas also announced that until a replacement for Hugo is appointed, he will be servicing South Australia one week in each month. She also noted that the company is in the process of beefing up its service department, with the eminent appointment of two new service personnel, one each for NSW and Vic.
As well, she said that Car-O-Liner Australia is in negotiations with a Swedish training specialist, with over 15 years of experience with Car-O-Liner welders, for his eventual transfer locally to Queensland, where he will be assisting Hugo with servicing and training on the full Car-O-Liner product range.
