The easy way to move a car around

The new front-loading Cartar mobile lift offers repairers greater flexibility in organising their workshops and work flow.

The Cartar FL Mobile Workshop Lift  is a front and rear loading, drive-on, drive-off, and is operated by air/hydraulic and lifts up to 2200kg.

It is the latest in the line of workshop equipment  invented and made in Australia by Carter Engineering of Melbourne and distributed  by sole east coast distributor Sydney Automotive Paints & Equipment (SAPE).

SAPE’s Terry Feehan described the lift as a great time saving piece of equipment.

“Not only is this remote controlled lift easy to use, you can actually move the lift around the shop while the car is on it,” Feehan said.

“This lift can be left in its bay or can pick a car up from front or rear out of its bay and be moved, fully loaded, to another location and has a full 360 degree turning circle on all four wheels.

“It is weather proof, so moving a vehicle outside is not an issue. This is definitely the best we have ever seen and don’t forget the safety issues either.

“How hard is it and how many staff are needed to move a damaged vehicle around or a car with flat tyres? How often are tradesmen laying or kneeling on the cold, hard floor?
“This unit will overcome all that.”

The Cartar FL Mobile Workshop Lift has a lifting height of 820mm and retracts 130mm. It is 2240mm long x 1100mm wide while sitting flat in the bay and 2088mm long elevated.
