We've decided that we'll have fun recording some podcasts for you that aren't always laser focussed on collision repair. Mind you, racing does bend the odd panel or two.

So this week, podcast host Ben Fewtrell had a great chat with Stephen Corby: a man who has lived out our boyish dreams of driving supercars...and he gets paid for it! As editor of Top Gear Australia and Wheels Magazine he made a living out of driving supercars and writing about them (the lucky so and so), and in that time he's also gathered a great deal of industry experience.  Oh and by the way, he sometimes writes for Paint & Panel Magazine, so we like him already!

We indulge ourselves and talk about the fun he had driving supercars, but also the more serious matters of autonomous vehicles, electric supercars, and how the hybrid model might be the best for the Australian market.

In this week’s episode you will learn:

  • What it's really like to drive a Lamborghini Counthach
  • How electric supercars are better than ever
  • Why buying old supercars is a great investment
  • The length of the average commute
  • Why hybrids may be the future for the Australian market
  • Will Tesla continue to dominate the market?
  • The importance of understanding who is behind the brand
  • The impact of autonomous vehicles on collision repair
  • Why a market led by autonomous vehicles is further away than we think
  • How the industry should prepare for the rise of electric vehicles
